Dr. Kyriaki Lampropoulou is a Food Technologist and owns the titles of MSc in Food Technology and PhD in Food Technology/ Microbiology, from the University of Lincoln UK.
She has worked as a researcher at the National Institution of Agricultural Research, during her participation at the following European Programs: “Predictive modelling of fish and meat products”, “Improving the Quality and Safety of Whole Fish” and “Natural Antimicrobials”.
As a professional she is working at the area of food since 1992. For the last 25 years she holds the position of the Head of Quality Assurance and Business Monitoring sector in one of the biggest Cash & Carry companies in Greece. From this position she bears the responsibility for the development, implementation and verification of quality and safety management systems, internal audits, employees training, recycling systems, definition-implementation, and validation of the laboratory analyses scheme. She also works close with the technical team for the design of new stores and warehouses. She has developed more than 700 products under the as private labels.
Since 1998 she cooperates with the University of West Attica (ex-Technological Institution of Athens) as an academic lecturer at the faculty of Food Technology. She also cooperates with the same University as a lecturer at the MSc program “Innovation, Quality and Safety of Food” of the Food Technology faculty, since 2015.
She has taken part in several scientific teams of the Hellenic Food Authority (EFET). She is an ISO systems certified auditor, and a certified trainer of EFET.
She has several scientific papers and presentation in scientific symposiums. During her cooperation with the university, she has been the supervisor of several graduate and post graduate studies.
